EMPLOYMENT
We
are currently searching for a full-time Environmental
Geologist/Scientist to support a variety of
environmental projects in areas including but not limited to:
underground storage tank removal and corrective actions, remediation,
and environmental assessments for real estate transactions. Assignments
will consist of independent work and support for senior staff. Typical
responsibilities will include:
 | Implementing
environmental field sampling plans;
|
| Groundwater,
surface water, soil and air sampling;
|
| Supervison
of subsurface site characterizations including soil boring
advancement and well installation;
|
| Assistance
with UST closures;
|
| Environmental
record searches; and
|
| Interpretation
of data and preparation of reports for client and regulatory
agencies.
|
Some overnight travel may be required.
The position will be approximately 40% fieldwork and 60% office work.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must
have:
| A
Bachelors degree in geology or related field from
an accredited school; |
| 0
to 4 years relevant experience (advanced degree and/or cooperative
education may count toward experience); |
| Excellent
verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive
attitude and ability to work both independently and within groups; |
| The
ability and tolerance to perform physical labor;
|
| A
valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record; and
|
| Strong
computer skills including Word, Excel, and graphics software.
|
| 40-hour
HAZWOPER Health and Safety Training preferred
|
